Creating memories are very crucial when you have a family. They create stories for you and your children to share with generations. It also helps create a blueprint for how families bond together even when they live far away from each other. Here are two things I believe every family should do together.

1) Vacationing is something every family should do whether you go out of state, out of the country, or even out of your city. Vacationing allows your children to have something to look forward to whether its during their spring, Christmas, or summer break it helps create traditions. When done annually it is something that you can prioritize to prepare for. I remember when my daughter turned five I was determined that every year during her spring break we would go on a trip, and I can honestly say we have. Even in the years when my funds were low God opened doors for me to find deals on the internet to help me get to our vacation destination within my budget. The first year we went to Magic Kingdom in Florida. I took my mom, daughter, and my God-son. I spent under 800 for the entire trip. We drove because it was cheaper than flying. It also allowed us to site tour through other states, and to drive in different spots in Florida without renting a car.  During my pregnancy with my son we were not able to  travel out of state so we rented a hotel for a few days that had a pool and other fun amenities. We acted like tourist and learned lot more about the activities available in our state.  No matter your budget you can vacation. You just have to make it happen. If you never have  time off of work I'm going to pray for you! You can't be so focused on making more money that you loose crucial memories with your kids. If we can shoes, clothes, new cell phones, and laptops we can afford to treat ourselves and our families on a trip. I serve in the Youth Department at my church and a lot of kids complain how some of their parents don't spend time with them because they work so much. If you include one vacation in your budget trust me you will not regret its fruit.

2.) Family Time
It is so important to have family time. It is a time where you get to interact even the more with your children and your spouse together without distraction. Family Time can be done in house by creating fun at-home activities or by catching a five dollar movie at the show. Family Time helps you to build a closer bond with your children. When everyone ideas are taken into consideration it helps the family structure to become stronger. You can pick one day out of the week to have family time. It gives your child(ren) something to look forward to during the week. In our house, Family Time is a priority because we stand on building legacy in our children. Some days we paint, or color, we go bowling, skating, and sometimes we go to the show. Each time we go to the show everyone that can talk gets a turn to pick a movie. If we have the money and the time we see two movies. For us family time brings us closer together especially if you are in a blended family.  It will bridge the gap in many disfunctions within your family. It opens the door to various conversations as well.  Family time is something that should not be overlooked.
