Congratulations Mommies!

We have officially made it to 2019! I know that some of us have prepared our New Year's Resolution and are excited to get started. In this blog I have created five tips to help you as a believer no matter the task to stay committed in completing your New Year's Resolutions.

Prerequisite: Before anything we do we want to pray and seek God for direction for our year. It is in our prayer time and daily devotion that God can really speak to us and we live above the noise of our daily roles in life. In prayer God can affirm the "why" in our New Year's Resolutions. It will drive us and give us the path to our future that we may walk in it.

1.) Write your Resolutions down
Everything starts with a thought or idea once written down you ignite the fire of your faith to bring your resolutions to past. The bible tells us in Habakkuk 2:2-3 to write the vision and make it plain that we may get to work and bring the vision to manifestation (reality). Think of your New Year Resolutions as petitions before the Lord. Writing your resolutions can also be symbolized as a sign of prophetic declaration in the earth for your life's purpose. Always remember the things we overcome and do are not just for ourselves but for the glory of God present to the world for their salvation. In your step of just writing it down begins to shake the earth because you are taking back the authority God gave you in the beginning (Genesis 1:26).

2.) Give it to God
Prayer is essential to the success of you completing your New Year Resolutions. When you give our Resolutions over to go God in prayer. You are creating a altar before the Lord, giving Him access to become of completing your goals. I personally bring my resolutions to God daily in prayer. It is apart of my daily devotion. As you continue to pray over it you are watering it the seed of faith within it. Praying over your resolution gives you a dialogue with God. It will be a blessing to your life when struggles and discouragement come to tempt you to give up. The Holy Spirit has giving me scriptures in times of encouragement to fuel me and keep me in the direction that I needed to be in. Trust prayer work ladies!

3.) Structure (Setting 3-6-9-12 month milestones)
From prayer God can give you strategic planning and precision in completing your New Year's Resolutions. The one things that has been a blessing to my life is setting my New Year's Resolutions (Petitions) in a 3, 6, 9, and 12 month milestone structure. It allows me not to feel overwhelmed in accomplishing my goals and encourages my faith to keep going. Within those quarterly milestones I am able to see what worked for me, where I struggled, and what I need to come to God with in prayer for direction to succeed within my next set of goals.  This setup also stretches me to do more as I get better at staying committed to my resolutions. I use a vision board that is in my office to remind me of my goals for the quarter and when I complete them I scratch them out. You can use any tool.

4.) Accountability Partner
I believe in every aspect of our lives we all need an accountability partner. This is the one person that you can confess your dreams, goals, fears, and aspirations to. We were never meant to do life alone whether single or married. In some compacity we need community, support of other people. Now in regards to selecting your Accountability Partner I would suggest someone who is at the level you are aiming to reach for. You don't need an accountability partner to be where you are currently. They would have a hard time lifting you up or encouraging you where they have never been. Think of your accountability partner as your hype man/mentor. They are your celebrators who encourage you when you want to give up. They are always in prayer on your behalf. They give you advice on how on to make things better and will tell you when you are headed in the wrong direction. Always pray before selecting your accountability Partner. God will confirm them in your life when you are seeking Him in prayer, and they will be a blessing (asset) to your life.

5.) Have Fun
This is not a time to be stressed! You are on a new and exciting journey that will propel you to the next level in your life. Celebrate every milestone, every task you accomplish. As you reach your resolutions God gives the increase.  Every assignment God gives you He always prepares the way you just have to be willing to pick up the tools and get to work.

I want to congratulate you on this new journey. I pray this blog was helpful. I can't wait to hear your testimonies on completing your New Year's Resolutions
